Raising Queens believe in giving back to the community and understands the importance of reading among our youth.
Covid-19 did not stop Raising Queens from serving the youth. Three Zoom reading events were done this month as a way to encourage young readers and also to show are princesses that they are enough ( I am Enough by Grace Byers), "I Love My Hair" by Natasha Tarpley, and how to not be an anti racist baby ( Antiracist Baby by Ibram X Kendi). The children had the opportunity to listen to a mentor in the community, engage with other girls, and ask questions during and after the reading.
